Wordpress
This guide is designed to help customers installing our cookie consent widget on their WordPress based website. Follow these few simple steps to get up and running quickly.
Before following these steps, please be sure that you have:
- Added your website's URL (either during the signup process or in the settings page)
We have developed a plugin for Wordpress that will help you install Openli cookie widget on your site. Go to the Wordpress Plugin store and search for Openli!

Use the file-upload if you need more advanced option (such as setting up locale). Download here Legal Monster Cookie Pop-up plugin.
Navigate to "Settings" -> "Openli Cookie Pop-up".

You need to setup your cookie widget in the Openli Dashboard to use the plugin. Learn how to create your cookie widget.
To install your widget, you'll need your cookie widget's public key, which you'll find under "Widgets":

Navigate to the settings page of the plugin:

Paste your widget's public key at the settings page and press "Save!". That's it!

The final step you need to take to make sure your cookies are compliant is to block the scripts that set them on your website, so the widget can enable them only when a visitor gives consent.
This step is a bit more technical, however, this guide shows you how to block cookies on your site or you can follow our Google Tag Manager guide.
Congratulations on completing your first step towards collecting compliant cookie consent in Wordpress. Pad your self on the back and know that our mascot Li is proud of you.
